2016-17 Nonprofit Management Workshop Series: Grant Writing for Nonprofits

Description:

This full day workshop will review the basics of writing a strong proposal that will be competitive in today’s challenging funding environment. There will be opportunities to share wisdom and tips with colleagues as well as ask questions that will benefit the group as a whole. Total course hours: 1 session, full day (9:30am - 4:30pm).

Participants will:

• Increase familiarity with the language of proposal writing, the 9 basic components, and what information goes where
• Increase skills in developing objectives and budgets
• Learn the most common mistakes made by proposal writers
• Learn what funders love and hate
